2020 Watermain Flushing starts September 8

Tay Township’s watermain flushing program is required annually as part of our maintenance program and fire hydrant flow testing requirement.

Flushing Schedule: Monday to Friday only between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Victoria Harbour – September 8th to September 18th (approximately)

Port McNicoll and area – September 21st to October 2nd (approximately)

Waubaushene and Rope – October 5th to October 9th (approximately)

As a result of this work, you may experience a change in pressure and/or some discolouration or sediment in the water. Water use during the scheduled flushing periods should be kept to a minimum. Please avoid doing laundry when flushing is being conducted. If you continue to experience discoloured water after 4:30 p.m. on these dates, allow your cold water to run in the tub for a few minutes. This work will be completed in an expedient manner and regular service will be restored as soon as possible.
