2026 burn permits available through new Community Connect portal starting January 2, 2026

Starting January 2, 2026, Tay Township will launch Community Connect, a new online portal for our Fire Department. Through this portal, residents can purchase burn permits and provide important information that will assist Tay Fire & Emergency Services in the event of an emergency. 

What’s Changing? 

  • Burn permits will now be available through Community Connect accessed at tay.ca/firepermits starting January 2, 2026.
  • The cost remains $20 per permit and is valid for 1 year from the purchase date.
  • Online purchase is encouraged, but permits can still be obtained in person at the Municipal Office, during regular business hours Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Residents can still purchase their burn permit for the remainder of 2025 through tay.burnpermits.com. Please note this permit is only valid for 2025. You will need to purchase a new permit in 2026 using the Community Connect portal or by visiting the office during regular business hours on or after January 2, 2026.
