Facilities Maintenance Technician (Full-Time, Permanent Position)

Reporting to the Supervisor of Operational Services, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of labour-related activities involving the custodial, maintenance, repair, and operational activities of the Township’s facilities ensuring all facilities, structures, and properties are maintained to maximize their life expectancy and efficiency and that occupant comfort and safety are maintained.
Qualifications
- OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or equivalent is required.
- Certified Grounds Technician (CGT), Certified Ice Technician (CIT) and Certified Building Technician (CBT) designation provided by the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association (ORFA) or willingness to complete.
- Class ‘G’ Drivers Licence in good standing; Class ‘DZ’ Driver’s Licence in good standing is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of related, progressive work experience with responsibility for custodial, maintenance, repair, and operational activities.
The compensation range for this full-time, permanent position is $26.12 to $30.56 per hour with a 40-hour work week. We also offer a comprehensive pension and benefit package (conditions may apply).
