Proclamation: National Cupcake Day

WHEREAS National Cupcake Day takes place on February 26th and is the sweetest day of the year, raising over 1.5 million in the past three years for over 100 animal welfare charities across Canada, and

WHEREAS the Midland and District Ontario SPCA Centre in Tay provides care and shelter for animals that are abused, abandoned, neglected or no longer wanted as well as adoption services, open admission surrenders, children’s programs and humane education for school groups and other organizations, and

WHEREAS National Cupcake Day brings cupcakes to the rescue to ensure life-saving work continues in the community for animals in need;

Therefore be it resolved that I, Scott Warnock, Mayor of the Corporation of Township of Tay, do hereby proclaim

Monday, February 26, 2018 as National Cupcake Day

in the Corporation of the Township of Tay, and I urge all citizens of Tay to participate.
