Please be advised that there will be a water service supply interruption for the municipal water users east of the intersection at Park St. and Anderson Crescent and South of the intersection to Richard St. (including Anderson Crescent, McDermitt Trail & Wintergreen Circle) as crews with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) conduct water distribution system maintenance. The required work will be conducted on Tuesday May 24, 2022 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
As a result of this work, a precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been implemented as of Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. This is a precautionary measure to ensure public safety. Notices have been hand delivered to all affected properties.
The boil water advisory will be in place until OCWA has completed sampling and received results. Hand-delivered notices will be delivered when the advisory has been lifted.
During this time residents may experience low or no water pressure. Please be assured that OCWA will work in an expedient manner to restore the water supply as soon as possible.
What to do:
Tay Township advises that all water used for consumption be heated to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute prior to use (store in a clean covered container). Unless it has been boiled first or is commercially bottled, water should not be used for drinking, baby formula, juice, ice, washing fruit and vegetables or brushing your teeth. Please note: Home filtration devices are not a substitute for boiling water.
