Tay Township Students are integral and highly valued members of #TeamTay! We are seeking driven individuals with an interest in municipal government operations to join us for the spring/summer of 2023. The ideal candidates will be adaptable to the needs of our municipality and will demonstrate capabilities for making a positive impact on the Corporation and the Community as one. We are currently hiring for the following student contract positions:
- Administration Student
- Municipal Clerk Student
- Day Camp Counsellors (July – August)
- Engineering Services Student
- Library Summer Clerk (June – August)
- Municipal Law Enforcement Student
- Planning and Development Services Student
- Summer Program Coordinator
- Summer Roads/Parks Students
Tay Township is located on the sunset shores of Georgian Bay. Our communities of Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll, Waubaushene and Waverley combine the perfect balance of urban and rural households. Tay Township is a four-season destination offering inclusive cultural and recreational activities for all ages.

Students will gain valuable experience and developmental feedback to take with them as they plan for their future. Municipal student positions are a fantastic way to learn about local government and the way it connects with the community it serves.
These are temporary, student contract positions and active enrollment in secondary or a related post-secondary program is required as indicated in the applicable position description. The employment period will run from early May through to late August unless otherwise stated. The employment period may be subject to change.
