Tay, Ontario: Since 2014 Friends of Keewatin Volunteers, with the support of Tay Township, have been working behind the scenes helping to distribute tens of thousands of toys provided by Thomson Terminals to North Simcoe agencies supporting families with children in need.
This year the following local agencies were supported; The Boys and Girls Clubs, Georgian Bay Native Friendship Centre, Salvation Army, Family Connexions, Beausoleil First Nation, Coldwater Lions Club, St. Vincent de Paul – St. Ann’s, We are the Villagers, Huronia Transition Homes, La Maison Rosewood Shelter, Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, Port McNicoll Lions Club, St. Theresa's Catholic High School Adopt a Christmas Family program, Port McNicoll Legion and the Southern Georgian Bay OPP, along with the Fire Services of the Townships of Tay, Tiny and the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene.
A special thank you to all volunteers who helped organize the toys and their delivery, as well as the Delbrook Group, who graciously provided the former Port McNicoll Public School as the distribution centre for the gift drop off and pick up.
