Tay Township conducts a Road Needs Study
Victoria Harbour, Tay Township ON: Tay Township is committed to providing efficient and sustainable municipal infrastructure. The Township engaged the services of C.C. Tatham and Associates to conduct a Road Needs Study following a Request for Proposal. Starting in April when road stresses are most visible, the consultant will review all roads in Tay to assess condition and collect data. The work will continue in May with 100 traffic counts to determine traffic volume.
The Road Needs Study will identify deficiencies, estimate the cost of proposed improvements, and determine a condition and priority rating for each road section.
“The Road Needs Study will help provide direction on the best way to extend the life of the Township’s road surfaces,” said Mayor Scott Warnock. Council will consider the recommended 10-year capital upgrade and re-construction program and the report will inform the Township’s 2018-2027 Long-Term Plan.
For further information on the Road Needs Study, please contact Bryan Ritchie, Manager of Roads and Fleet.
