Tay Township Introduces Online Credit Card Payment Options
Tay, Ontario – Tay Township is excited to announce a new and convenient way for residents to make payments from the comfort of their home, without having to visit the Municipal Office. Through a partnership with Paymentus Corporation, a leading third-party payment provider, residents can now securely make payments using their credit cards for items like property taxes, utility bills, parking tickets and more.
Key features of the online payment system:
- Convenient Payment Options: Residents can now easily pay their property taxes and utility bills online using their credit cards from the comfort of their home.
- Accepted Credit Cards: We accept VISA or MasterCard.
- Service Fee: Please note that a service fee will be applied by Paymentus Corporation, our trusted payment service provider, when the transaction is processed.
- Processing Time: Payments made through the online system will be posted to your account within 2-3 business days, ensuring timely processing and accurate account updates.
To access the online payment portal and make a payment, residents can simply refer to their most recent bill for the account balance and go to tay.ca/payment and click “Pay Online By Credit Card” to access the payment portal.

The Township offers the following methods of payment: In person at the Municipal Office by debit, cash or cheque (credit cards not accepted), post-dated cheques, pre-authorized payment plans and telephone/internet banking. An after hours drop box is also available for convenience (cheques only, no cash). For more details on these options please visit tay.ca/payment.
