Tay Township Municipal and School Boards Election 2022 Update

Time: 1:45 p.m. 

Tay, Ontario: The Municipal Elections Act, 1996, as amended, Section 37 (1) reads that if, at 4 p.m. on the Monday following nomination day, the number of certified candidates for an office is the same as or less than the number to be elected, the clerk shall immediately declare the candidate or candidates elected by acclamation. The offices for Mayor, Deputy Mayor and all five Councillors have been elected by acclamation and are as follows:

Electors registered as public school supporters can still vote for the English or French Language Public School Boards’ Trustees. Voting is now open and closes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, visit tay.ca/vote for more information. If you require assistance voting, you can visit the Township Voter Assistance Centre located at the Municipal Office at 450 Park Street in Victoria Harbour.

Please also note that the results of the English and French Language Public School Boards’ Trustees will not be released by Tay Township, but will be released by the Town of Midland and City of Barrie respectively, on October 24, 2022 or soon thereafter.
