Tay Township raises flag and proclaims January as Crime Stoppers Month

WHEREAS Crime Stoppers of Simcoe Dufferin Muskoka is a civilian, volunteer based crime fighting program which provides a way for the public to anonymously report information about crimes and criminals to the police, and;

WHEREAS Crime Stoppers is a program that benefits everyone in Tay Township and makes our schools and community safer, and;

WHEREAS the community is the backbone of the program, as it is through individual citizens that information is obtained to help solve crime,

THEREFORE in order to increase awareness and understanding of the Crime Stoppers Program,

I, Ted Walker, Mayor of the Corporation of Township of Tay do hereby proclaim the month of JANUARY 2023 AS CRIME STOPPERS MONTH

and I encourage all citizens to call 1 800 222 TIPS anonymously with any information about a crime that has occurred or is about to occur.
