Tay Township to host Tay Bike Day on June 16 (rescheduled from June 15 due to expected rain)
Tay, Ontario: Tay Township is pleased to host Tay Bike Day on Sunday, June 16 (rescheduled from June 15 due to expected rain) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bridgeview Park (4 Fallowfield Lane, Waubaushene).
“This annual community event promotes use of the Tay Shore Trail, encourages healthy and active transportation, and contributes to the development of new and positive community connections and relationships,” said Mayor Ted Walker.
This year’s Tay Bike Day activities include a riding treasure hunt along the Tay Shore Trail, best decorated bike contest, and face painting.
Ontario Provincial Police and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will also be on hand to provide safe cycling tips for cyclists of all ages. Cyclists will be able to participate in a safe riding obstacle course and have their helmet checked.
