Tay Township will receive up to $1.48 million from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund

VICTORIA HARBOUR, TAY TOWNSHIP, ON: Tay Township is pleased to announce that it will receive up to $1.48 million ($1,483,335) from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF) to construct a new, permanent, year-round water distribution system for Grandview Beach and Paradise Point in Port McNicoll.

Tay is one of 55 communities that will receive support from the Province through the OCIF to build and upgrade local infrastructure. Ontario is investing up to $60 million through the 2016 OCIF Top-Up Component for these 55 communities.

Tay Township is committed to providing efficient and sustainable municipal infrastructure by partnering with senior levels of government to plan and finance infrastructure expenses and improvements. A combination of grant funds, municipal reserves and other funding will allow the $6.9 million project to proceed, providing safe drinking water to the area.
